Renee Cansdale
Founder
Renee Cansdale is a qualified Speech Pathologist who specialises in speaking and swallowing difficulties in babies and children. She has over a decade's experience working in non-for-profit organisations.
Her passion for helping children in need began in 2008 when she volunteered at the Childrens Welfare Centre Nepal. In 2010, she lead the 1st CWC Nepal tour with her husband David Cansdale. This pioneering tour was a great success. The tour both inspired the participants and raised much needed funds for the Childrens Welfare Centre of Nepal. Once returned Renee and the tour participants were once again motivated to take another step towards improving the lives of the CWC children by establishing Childrens Aid International Inc.
In 2011 Renee was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of South Brisbane for her charitable work both locally and in Nepal.
Renee was also a founding member of the Rotary Club of Kangaroo Point, and prior to this she was an active member of the Rotaract Club of South Brisbane Inc. During this time she has gained valuable experience running a non-profit organisation in the roles of President and Secretary.
